Welcome

We are northern Europe’s largest geosciences department with a long tradition of research and higher education. The subjects we teach are geoscience, geography, bio-geoscience and interdisciplinary environmental management.

Our research focuses on polar environments, climate change, landscape evolution, terrestrial and hydrological resources, landscape analysis, remote sensing, GIS, environmental and resource dynamics.

We have field activities at two research stations: one in the Kebnekaise mountains (Tarfala Research Station) and one in Greece (Navarino Environmental Observatory).

Follow us on an exciting voyage of discovery!
